Another Little Peek at the Cow Painting

“Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity.  Don’t fight them.  Just find a different way to stand.”
Oprah Winfrey

I love that!!!!

Another Little Peek at my Cows

Rumor has it, a tattoo artist escaped from the big city and since he had never seen a cow before, he only saw a huge moving billboard to advertise his trade.  Wouldn’t he have to shave them first?  And perhaps drug them?

But, it is just a rumor:D

Early yesterday evening, I drove out to Cross Ranch in Stigler to letter a couple cattle trucks.  It was so beautiful out there.  The pastures were that brand new spring green and they has a bizzillion cows, most of them being black.  The contrast of the cattle against the pasture was really wonderful!  There were a lot of babies, too.  It was cool, so they were playing and running around.  I even saw a coyote running full speed across the property.  Artist fodder…. all of it!

Explore the World with Reading – 4″ x 6″ Watercolor & Ink

Explore is this week’s word for Illustration Friday.  What better way is there to explore, than through reading?  I love books!  I am so glad that I like to read.  The world opens up to you with books, and takes you wherever you want to go.

Right now, I am reading The Silent Sea, a Clive Cussler novel and I’m in Argentina fighting off bad guys and trying to get back to my submersible, which will take me back to The Oregon, our high tech ship.

I painted this from a reference by SkattyKat at WetCanvas.  Kat lives in France and had wonderful images to paint from!

Clive Cussler is the author of many New York Times bestsellers, most recently The Spy and Lost Empire. He lives in Arizona.

Oprah Winfrey

Media giant Oprah Winfrey was born in the poor rural town of Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954. In 1976, Winfrey moved to Baltimore, where she hosted a hit TV chat show, People Are Talking, after which she was recruited by a Chicago TV station to host her own morning show. Later she went on to pursue her two-and-a-half decade stint as host of the wildly popular Oprah Winfrey show.  More….

Annie the Dog

“Before you agree to do anything that might add even the smallest amount of stress to your life, ask yourself: What is my truest intention? Give yourself rime to let a ‘yes’ resound within you. When it’s right, I guarantee your entire body will feel it.”
– Oprah Winfrey

Annie – 4″ x 6″ Watercolor & Sharpie

Another photo reference by Just Chaos at WetCanvas.  Jean has the greatest animals.  This is her dog Annie.  She has a hairless cat, a  bull terrier, a greyhound, a mule and many more that I can’t remember.   She finds beauty in all the animals the world might be missing out on.  It’s so fun when she hosts the WDE (weekend drawing event).  :)

I love today’s quote, especially this time of year.  We are all out bustling around, trying to do a million things at once.  I started my shopping in October and just need to wrap and make the trek to the post office.  Christmas card envelopes are addressed, but that’s as far as I have gotten on that project.  I am trying not to stress myself out this year, as I have in previous years.  So far, so good.  :D
