Little Collage for Mary – 4″ x 6″ Postcard

This is another collage from an inexperienced collager.  The shoe is from a watercolor painting I did for a WetCanvas WDE (weekend drawing event), so Mary will probably recognize it.  This little card will be winging it’s way to Ohio.

About William Butler Yeats

Irish author William Butler Yeats, known for his mysticism and Celtic imagery, won a Nobel Prize for his plays but ultimately achieved more renown as a poet. He was born in Dublin on June 13, 1865. Co-founder of the Abbey Theater, he served as its resident playwright and worked with actress Maude Gonne, who inspired the romantic longing expressed in many poems. He married at age 52 and co-wrote A Vision with his wife, a book with occult roots that explores the mythology in his poetry. He died on January 28, 1939.

Little Pink Tennies – 2.5″ x 3.5″ Watercolor & Sharpie ATC

I fell in love with these shoes!  Susan (surob) posted them at WetCanvas last weekend. ( Well…. not exactly these shoes.  They were pink and white.)   If you’ve been following me for a while, you may have seen my 24 ATC shoe series I did for an exchange.  They were so fun!!  After I looked at this one on my monitor, all I could see was big blue olives!  :D

Toucan
Watercolor & Ink

Another bird painted in the hotel room during the storm.  It’s amazing how my art took my mind off of all the turmoil taking place outside.  Isn’t it wonderful to be able to do that?

We may venture to our house Friday evening.  We haven’t been there since Monday.  We’re looking forward to spending the weekend in our own home.  They are forecasting snow for Friday, Monday and Wednesday, but not this much.  I hope everyone reading this is safe and warm.

Oh I certainly do agree with that!

Pelle 3
4″ x 6″ Watercolor

My husband tells me that these paintings would look more like Pelle, if I had his ears closer together.  Funny how non artists can see things we sometimes can’t.  Here is the real Pelle.  (See?  Not even close)  LOL
